Aïn Lechiakh
Aïn Lechiekh or Ain Leckiakh is a town in northern Algeria. It had a population of 13,196 in 2004. It is a town in the wilaya of Aïn Defla. Ain-Lechiakh is situated 25 kilometers south of Khemis Miliana - the nearest big city in the area - and is on the National Route 3 (RN3), 120 km southwest of the capital Algiers. Aïn Defla (, lit. '' oleander spring'') is the capital city of Aïn Defla Province, Algeria. It is also a commune. History In Roman times the city was called Oppidum Novum. The vestiges of the Oppidum Novum are still visible. The current city was founded in the 20th century by a soldier named youcef asnofg of the rank of agha, with the idea of bringing together the indigenous populations from the villages of the region. Khemis Miliana
Khemis Miliana () is a town in northern Algeria of around 210000 inhabitants. It is a university town located 120 kilometers west of Algiers. It was known as Malliana in Roman Empire, Roman times, then Affreville during the French colonial empire, French colonial era. It should not be confused with the smaller city of Miliana nearby. The Diocese of Malliana is a titular see of the Roman Catholic Church of which Khemis Miliana was the Bishopric, episcopal seat. Geography Khemis-Miliana has an important geostrategic location. Tipaza () is the capital of the Tipaza Province, Algeria. When it was part of the Roman Empire, it was called '' Tipasa''. The modern town was founded in 1857, and is chiefly remarkable for its ancient ruins and sandy littoral.
