Ayşegül Baybars
Ayşegül Baybars Kadri (born 1981) is a Turkish-Cypriot politician, who served as Interior Minister for Northern Cyprus between 2018 and 2020. Career In 2002 Baybars graduated with a degree in Law from Marmara University Marmara University (Turkish language, Turkish: ''Marmara Üniversitesi'') is a Public university, public research university in Istanbul, Turkey. The university, named after the Sea of Marmara, was founded as a university in 1982. However, its .... She subsequently studied for a MA in European Law at the same institution. The lawyer was a founding member in 2016 of the ''Halkın Partisi'' (People's Party) established. Baybars was appointed Interior Minister on 2 February 2018. She has been the youngest member of the Northern Cyprus coalition government. She resigned from the People's Party in 2022, alongside Jale Refik Rogers and 64 other party members. Gazimağusa

Turkish Cypriots or Cypriot Turks ( or ; ) are so called ethnic Turks originating from Cyprus. Turkish Cypriots are mainly Sunni Muslims. People's Party (Northern Cyprus)
The People's Party (, HP) is a political party in Northern Cyprus, founded on 6 January 2016. The party has stated its aims as erasing the old political system based on corruption, and the good administration of Northern Cyprus. Its leader is Kudret Özersay and its secretary general is Ahmet Tokatlıoğlu. It first gained representation in the parliament in the 2018 elections. The party has a different organization from all other political parties in Northern Cyprus. It has no women's or youth wings, with the stated aim of directly integrating women and youth into its administration. It has no system of delegates that represent local branches of the party and there are no heads of local branches. It prohibits members of the parliament who have switched or are switching parties, or those who have served as leader or secretary general in another party from joining it. Jale Refik Rogers
Jale Refik Rogers (born 1977) is a Turkish Cypriot molecular biologist and politician. She was elected as a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2018. Early years and education Jale Refik Rogers was born in North Nicosia in 1977. She completed her secondary education at the Türk Maarif Koleji. She received the Fulbright Scholarship and enrolled to the University of Maine. She graduated ''magna cum laude'' with a bachelor of science degree, majoring in biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry in 1998. Before starting to her doctoral studies at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences of the Cornell University, she worked as a research assistant for the Harvard Medical School.
