Ayyüce Türkeş Taş (born 2 October 1977) is a Turkish economist and politician. She is the daughter of Alparslan Türkeş and Member of Parliament from Adana. Education Born in Ankara, Türkeş had both her primary and high school education in the same city. She obtained her first degree in economics from Bilkent University and completed her masters of business administration degree from Bilgi University, She has a doctorate degree in Banking from Marmara University. Career From 2010, she spent time working as an economist and banking expert in New York before returning to Turkey for a political career. She criticized the current leadership of the MHP, party founded by her father and argued that they do not represent the original ideology anymore. Taş became a nominee for the İYİ Party in the 2023 Turkish general election. She was elected and became one of the 15 Adana deputies at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The Nationalist Movement Party, or alternatively translated as Nationalist Action Party (, MHP), is a Turkish Far-right politics, far-right, ultranationalism, ultranationalist Political parties in Turkey, political party. 2024 Turkish Local Elections
Local elections in Turkey took place throughout the country's 81 provinces on 31 March 2024. A total of 30 metropolitan and 1,363 district municipal mayors, alongside 1,282 provincial and 21,001 municipal councilors were elected, in addition to numerous local non-partisan positions such as neighborhood representatives ( muhtars) and elderly people's councils. The elections took place ten months after the 2023 parliamentary and presidential elections, where the Nation Alliance opposition coalition suffered an unexpected landslide defeat to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's governing People's Alliance.
