Aytekin Kotil
Aytekin Kotil (1934–1992) was a Turkish social democratic politician. He was the mayor of Istanbul being a pioneer in the municipal socialism in Turkey. He was also a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Turkish Parliament. Early life and education Kotil was born in Gündoğdu, Rize, on 21 February 1934. He had three brothers. He was a graduate of Vefa High School, Istanbul. He received a degree in law from the law faculty of Istanbul University in 1960. Career Following his graduation Kotil worked as a lawyer in Istanbul. He joined the Republican People's Party (CHP) and became active in the CHP's Istanbul organization. He was part of a faction consisted of those party members from the Black Sea Region, Black Sea region. The group was led by Ali Topuz and included Necdet Uğur, Orhan Eyüpoğlu, Tarhan Erdem and other leading figures in the party. Aytekin Mindan
Aytekin Mindan (born 31 March 1981) is a Turkish former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. He held a Turkish record of 1:50.40 in the 200 m freestyle, until it was matched by Kemal Arda Gurdal in 2012. He studied at Istanbul Bilgi University. Mindan made his official debut at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He failed to advance into the succeeding rounds in any of his individual events, finishing forty-second in the Swimming at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Men's 200 metre freestyle, 200 m freestyle (1:54.86), and thirty-ninth in the Swimming at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Men's 400 metre freestyle, 400 m freestyle (4:01.46). At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Mindan maintained his program by qualifying for two swimming events. Deniz Aytekin
Deniz Aytekin (born 21 July 1978) is a German football referee. He referees for TSV Altenberg of the Bavarian Football Association. Aytekin is a former FIFA referee, and was ranked as a UEFA elite category referee. Refereeing career Aytekin refereed his first Bundesliga match on 27 September 2008 when Hertha BSC played FC Energie Cottbus in Berlin. Energie Cottbus won the game 1–0, and Aytekin gave out four yellow cards, including one to Cottbus goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel for time-wasting in the 90th minute. Notably, Aytekin was the referee of the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg match between Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou on 8 March 2017.
