''Ayrılık: Aşkta ve Savaşta Filistin'' (literally Separation: Palestine at Love and War), known in English as Farewell, is a prime time Turkish television series aired on state broadcaster TRT. The series started on 13 October 2009. The concept consultant of the series is columnist Hakan Albayrak in daily Yeni Şafak who had also been on the board of MV Mavi Marmara during the Gaza flotilla raid, while its script consultant is the trade union leader Yaşar Seyman who is a columnist of the left-wing daily BirGün. Controversy The contents of ''Ayrılık'' reportedly stirred up controversy and protests among both Israelis and Palestinians for its portrayal of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Among Israelis ''Ayrılık'' is described as depicting IDF soldiers killing newborn children in cold blood and snatching babies.

Zahra's Blue Eyes
''Zahra's Blue Eyes'' (), also titled ''For You, Palestine'', is a Syrian-Iranian television series which premiered in 2004 on Sahar 1. It was created by Ali Derakhshi, a former official of the Iranian Education Ministry. Set in the West Bank, the plot of the series mostly centers around Israeli military and civilians conspiring to steal the eyes of Palestinian children. It was made in Persian but also dubbed into Arabic for further broadcast. In 2006, it was also shown in Turkish in Germany on Milli Görüs’ TV5. In February 2005, the French Broadcasting Authority ordered the French satellite provider Eutelsat to stop transmitting broadcasts from the Iranian satellite TV channel Sahar 1 because of its broadcast of the series. NTV is a Turkish free-to-air nationwide television news channel owned by Doğuş Media Group. It was partnered with MSNBC between May 2000 and 2014. Ma'an News Agency (MNA; ) is a large wire service created in 2005 in the Palestinian territories. It is part of the Ma'an Network, a non-governmental organization media network created in 2002 in the Palestinian territories among independent journalists throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
