Avaí Futebol Clube Feminino, commonly known as Avaí FC Feminino, is a Women's association football, women's football club based in Caçador, Santa Catarina (state), Santa Catarina. The club was formerly known as Sociedade Esportiva Kindermann and Kindermann/Avaí. Caçador () is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the states of Brazil, state of Santa Catarina (state), Santa Catarina in the South Region, Brazil, South region of Brazil. History The banks of the Do Peixe River (Santa Catarina), Rio do Peixe (Fish River) were inhabited by ethnic native groups of Kaingangs and Xoklengs until 1881, when families of European origin settled here and, because of the abundance of hunting, dubbed the place "Rio do Caçador" (Hunter River). The Brazilian Football Confederation (, CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on Monday, 8 June 1914, as , and renamed Confederação Brasileira de Desportos in 1916. The football confederation, as known today, separated from other sports associations on 24 September 1979. The CBF has its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The confederation owns a training center, named Granja Comary, located in Teresópolis. It was announced on 29 September 2007, that the CBF would launch a women's league and cup competition in October 2007 following pressure from FIFA president Sepp Blatter during the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China. The 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino A-1 (officially the Brasileirão Feminino Neoenergia 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 10th season of the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol Feminino Série A1, the top level of women's football in Brazil, and the 6th edition in a Série A1 since its establishment in 2016. The tournament was organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). It started on 4 March and ended on 24 September 2022. In the finals, the defending champions Corinthians won their fourth title after defeating Internacional 5–2 on aggregate.
