Henry Edward Autrey (born March 18, 1952) is a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Education and career Autrey was born in Mobile, Alabama. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Louis University in 1974 and a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1977. He was an assistant circuit attorney for the City of St. Louis from 1977 to 1984, and then first assistant circuit attorney in that office from 1984 to 1986. In 1986, he became an Associate Judge for the 22nd. Judicial Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis, until 1997 when he became a circuit judge, a position he held until 2002. Herman Autrey
Herman Autrey (December 4, 1904 – June 14, 1980) was an American jazz trumpeter. Career Autrey was born into a musical family in Evergreen, Alabama, United States. He played alto horn before taking up trumpet as a teenager and performing locally in Pittsburgh and Florida. After some time in Florida he worked in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City, where he played with Charlie Johnson in 1933. He became well known through Fats Waller, who hired him in 1934 after signing a contract with Victor Records. He played with the drummer Harry Dial, guitarist Al Casey, and reedist Gene Sedric. Autrey went on to record extensively with Waller, Fletcher Henderson, and Claude Hopkins. Autrey worked as a sideman into the 1940s with Stuff Smith, Sammy Price, and Una Mae Carlisle. Latta Malette "LM" Autrey (July 7, 1876 – May 17, 1938) was an American politician who served one term as the 25th mayor of Orlando, Florida, from 1926 to 1929. Two of his former homes are now designated as historical landmarks, the Autrey-Williams House in Newton, Texas, built in 1912 and currently being restored by David Holmes, as well as the L. M. Autrey House in the Lake Eola Heights Neighborhood in Orlando, Florida. Scott Brian Autrey (born July 9, 1953) is an American former professional motorcycle speedway rider. In 1976, he became the first American rider to reach a speedway world final since Ernie Roccio in 1951. He earned 22 caps for the United States national speedway team. Motorcycle racing career Born in Maywood, California, Autrey began his motorcycle racing career in 1964 by competing in flat track racing at Perris Auto Speedway. In 1968, he had a major off-road racing victory when he won the 100cc class in the Rosarita Grand Prix in Mexico. Wesley Autrey (born February 6, 1956), dubbed by the media as the Subway Samaritan, Subway Superman, Hero of Harlem, and Subway Hero, is a New York City construction worker and Navy veteran. In 2007, he achieved international recognition when he saved Cameron Hollopeter, a film student who suffered a seizure and fell onto the tracks, from being struck by a New York City Subway train.
