The Australian cricket team toured India in September 2022 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches as a preparatory series before 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. They later returned in February and March 2023 to play four Test cricket, Test and three One Day International (ODI) matches. The Test matches formed part of the 2021–2023 World Test Championship, 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship. Australia won the first T20I by 4 wickets, to lead the series 1–0. The second T20I was reduced to 8 overs per side due to a wet outfield, with India winning the match by 6 wickets. India won the third and final T20I by 6 wickets to win the series 2–1. Adam Zampa (born 31 March 1992) is an Australian international cricketer who represents Australian cricket team in limited-overs cricket. The Border–Gavaskar Trophy (colloquially known as BGT) is an International Test cricket championship played between India and Australia. The series is named after distinguished former captains, Australia's Allan Border and India's Sunil Gavaskar. 2021–2023 World Test Championship
The 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship was the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship of Test cricket. It started on 4 August 2021 and finished with the Final on 7–11 June 2023 at The Oval, London, played between Australia and India. The five-match Pataudi Trophy between England and India, started 4 August 2021, started the second cycle of the World Test Championship. One Day International (ODI) is a format of cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of fifty overs, with the game lasting up to 7 hours.
