Aurélia Aurita
Aurélia Aurita is the pseudonym of the French ''bande dessinée'' (comic book) album author, Hakchenda Khun (first name often shortened to Chenda; born 1980). Her pseudonym is the scientific name of a species of jellyfish, ''Aurelia aurita''. Biography Hakchenda Khun was born in Châtenay-Malabry, Hauts-de-Seine, on 10 April 1980. She is of Chinese and Khmer origin. Khun studied drawing at the in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine and published short stories in the monthly ''Fluide Glacial'', in the magazine ''PLG'' or in collectives such as ''Stereoscomic'' and ''FLBLB'', while studying pharmacy, which she completed: "I know by heart 150 plant names from the indigenous French flora, as well as 15 ways to use suppositories". Châtenay-Malabry () is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris. It is located from the center of Paris. The French writer Chateaubriand lived in the estate at Châtenay-Malabry. The Garden City in the Butte Rouge, the , is one of the earliest examples of housing at moderated rents (). Châtenay was the location of , of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Paris-Sud and is the location of French national laboratory of doping detection. Benoît Peeters (; born 28 August 1956) is a French comics writer, novelist, and comics scholar. Biography After a degree in Philosophy at Université de Paris I, Peeters prepared his Master's at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS‚ Paris) under the direction of Roland Barthes. He holds a '' habilitation à diriger les recherches'' (HDR), i.e. a supplementary PhD enabling him to supervise the work of PhD candidates (Université de Paris I, 2007). He published his first novel, ''Omnibus'', by Les Éditions de Minuit in 1976, followed by his second, ''La Bibliothèque de Villers'', Robert Laffont, 1980. Since then, he has published over sixty works on a wide variety of subjects.
