Aullène
Aullène (; ; ) is a commune in the Corse-du-Sud department of France on the island of Corsica. Geography Aullène is located some 35 km in a direct line (68 km by road) south-east of Ajaccio, 20 km in a direct line (36 km by road) north-east of Propriano, and 10 km in a direct line (21 km by road) east by south-east of Petreto-Bicchisano. Aullène is a mountain village with a pastoral tradition whose territory is in the upper part of a valley parallel to and south of the Taravo valley. Access to the commune is by road D420 from Serra-di-Scopamène in the south-east to the village in the south of the commune then continuing west by a tortuous route to Petreto-Bicchisano. The D69 road comes from Cargiaca in the south by a tortuous road to the village then continues north from the village through the length of the commune, then goes west across the ''Col de la Vaccia'' before continuing north to Zicavo. Monacia-d'Aullène
Monacia-d'Aullène (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Corse-du-Sud Departments of France, department of France on the island of Corsica. It is part of the canton of Grand Sud. Geography Monacia-d'Aullène is west northwest of Figari. It was created in 1864 by dividing Aullène. To the north is the high Mount Cagna, known for its balanced granite boulders named the "Man of Cagna", where the isolated hamlet of Giannucio is located. To the southwest, the commune has an opening to the coast between Point Roccapino to the northwest and the Cala di Furnellu. The latter is preceded by Caniscione Point, on which is the Genoese tower, Genoese Torra d'Ulmetu, Tower of Olmeto.. Chiuvone
The Chiuvone (or Chjuvonu, Scopamène) is a small river in the department of Corse-du-Sud Corse-du-Sud (; , or ; ) is (as of 2019) an administrative department of France, consisting of the southern part of the island of Corsica. The corresponding departmental territorial collectivity merged with that of Haute-Corse on 1 January ..., Corsica, France. It is a tributary of the river Rizzanese. There is a small hydroelectric power dam on the river. Course The Chiuvone is long. It crosses the communes of Aullène, Cargiaca, Serra-di-Scopamène, Zérubia, Zicavo and Zoza. The river has its source on the Coscione plateau at an altitude of . It rises in the commune of Aullène to the east of the Taglio di Serra Longa. It flows northwest, then turns to flow southwest past the village of Aullène to its confluence with the Rizzanese west of the village of Zoza. The D69 road follows the river for most of its course.
