David Aufhauser
David Aufhauser is an American lawyer. He served as general counsel of the United States Treasury Department from 2001 to 2004 during the George W. Bush administration. After 9/11, Aufhauser was a key player in disrupting and freezing further terrorist activity against the U.S. He is best known for running the federal government's programs to go after terrorist financing, a major strategy in the war on terror. He ran the National Security Council Committee on Terrorist Financing; oversaw the legal departments of important agencies and divisions within the U.S. Treasury Department including International Banking, Domestic Banking, the U.S. Customs Service, IRS criminal and civil divisions, ATF, Financial Crimes and Money Laundering, and United States Secret Service; and supervised the federal government's multi-agency antiterrorism task force. Martin Aufhäuser
Martin Aufhäuser (born May 26, 1875 in Munich; died 1944 in Los Angeles, California) was a German banker who ran and grew private bank Bankhaus H. Aufhäuse. During the Nazi era the bank was Aryanized and Aufhäuser escaped to the United States. Life Martin Aufhäuser was the son of the banker Heinrich Aufhäuser (1842–1917). The elder Aufhäuser founded with Samuel Scharlach Bankhaus Aufhäuser & Scharlach in Munich on May 14, 1870. By 1892 Heinrich Aufhäuser paid off his former partner Scharlach and changed the name to Bankhaus H. Aufhäuser from 1894. The bank rose quickly, and gained customers such as Duke Luitpold in Bavaria, the families of Thomas Mann as well as Neuberger and Einstein (Alfred Einstein). By 1913, H. Michael Aufhauser (born April 25, 1952 Augsburg) is a German animal rights activist and founder of Gut Aiderbichl, the largest sanctuary for animals in Austria, which houses more than 1,000 animals of a variety of species. René Aufhauser (born 21 June 1976) is an Austrian football coach and a former player. Career In the early part of his career he had stints at ASK Köflach, ASK Voitsberg and Red Bull Salzburg.
