Atlético Hidalgo
Atlético Hidalgo, nicknamed Toltecas is a Mexican football team which plays in the Tercera División de México. It is based in Pachuca and was founded in 1992. History The Club Atlético de Hidalgo S.A.D. was a football club based in the city of Pachuca, Mexico. Founded on December 24, 1996, it was one of the few football teams from the state of Hidalgo. It spent numerous seasons in the Third Division of Mexico and is considered one of the founding clubs of the competition. In 2009, the club was involved in a match-fixing scandal and was punished with relegation. From that moment, Grupo Pachuca decided to become the majority shareholder with 80% ownership. It played its home matches at the Estadio Revolución Mexicana, with a capacity of 3,500 spectators. Estadio Revolución
Estadio de la Revolución is a sports arena located near the downtown area of Torreón in Coahuila, Mexico. It has a seating capacity of 7,689. Though used mainly for baseball games, it sometimes hosts concerts and other non-sport events. It is the home field of the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna baseball team, and as such, it is the oldest professional baseball field in Mexico still in function. Liga TDP is a professional association football league in Mexico and the fourth level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Tercera División de México (1967–2017). It has 223 participating clubs, divided into 17 regional groups by geographic location. In the 2009–10 season, the format of the tournament has been reorganized to a home and away format, which all teams will play in their respective group. Atlético Pachuca was a Mexican professional football team based in Atitalaquía, Hidalgo, which played in the Liga Premier since the 2023–24 season. Between 2021 and 2023 the team played in the Liga TDP. Founded in 2021, it was an affiliate team of C.F. Pachuca. History In February 2021, the Pachuca City Council began the procedures to form a representative football team for the city, with the aim of integrating it into social programs to support youth. In its first two seasons in the Liga TDP, the team qualified for the promotion play-offs, although it was eliminated in the first round.
