Atlántico Fútbol Club is a People of the Dominican Republic, Dominican professional association football, football team based in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, founded in 2015. The team plays in the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol. History Founder Ruben Garcia decided to found the club in 2014 giving a perspective of football to the Puerto Plata (city), Puerto Plata as it is a town where the sport is not very popular. Part of the team's leaders are Arturo Heinsen team manager, Segundo Polanco, Fernando Ortega Zeller and his brother Gustavo Eduardo Zeller who have invested so that this team grows and is one of the best in the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol, LDF Banco Popular. Debut The Atlantic FC debut as a visitor in the Dominican Football League on March 8, 2015, facing Club Barcelona Atlético, played at the Estadio De Fútbol Panamericano Parque Del Este, a result that ended 1–0 in favor of the locals. Adrián José Salcedo de Jesús (born 24 October 1994) is a Dominican footballer who plays for Atlántico FC and the Dominican Republic national team as a midfielder. He also holds Spanish citizenship. Club career Born in Santo Domingo, Salcedo moved to the Balearic Islands as a child and began playing football there when he was nine. He graduated from RCD Mallorca's youth setup. The TT Premier Football League (formerly known as the TT Pro League) is the Trinidad and Tobago professional league for association football clubs. It is the country's primary football competition and serves as the top division in the Trinidad and Tobago football league system. The Caribbean Club Championship, also known as the CFU Club Championship or CFU Club Champions' Cup, was an annual international football competition held amongst association football clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). The tournament served as a qualifying event for the CONCACAF Champions League and, from 2017, the CONCACAF League. In 2023, the tournament was replaced by the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup which follows a similar format.
