David Baxter (athlete)
David Scott Baxter (27 March 1977 – 2 July 2010) was an Australian athlete who competed as a sprinter. Biography Born in the Melbourne suburb of Ivanhoe, Baxter was one of five children born to Norman and Gillian Baxter. He attended Ivanhoe Grammar School and trained at Doncaster Little Athletics. In 1996, after winning the 100m and 200m national under-20 titles, Baxter represented Australia at that year's World Junior Championships and was a member of the 4 × 100 metres relay team which won a bronze medal. Baxter competed at the 1998 IAAF World Cup, 1999 IAAF World Indoor Championships, 2001 Goodwill Games and in two editions of the World University Games. Most notably in 2002, he won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in the 4 × 100 metres relay. He had a personal best in the 100 metres of 10.30 seconds. David Krummenacker (born May 24, 1975) is an American retired middle-distance runner. Background Krummenacker was born in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Las Cruces High School in New Mexico in 1993 where he won several state track titles and also played on the basketball team. Paweł Czapiewski (born 30 March 1978) is a former Polish middle-distance runner. He was born in Stargard. He came third in the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton in a personal best time of 1:44.63 minutes. Later that month he lowered it to 1:43.22 min. Wilfred Kipkemboi Bungei (born 24 July 1980) is a Kenyan retired Middle-distance runner, who won the 800 m gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He also won at the World indoor Championships in Moscow 2006 the 800 metres title, defeating Mbulaeni Mulaudzi and Olympic Champion Yuriy Borzakovskiy in the race. Jean-Patrick Nduwimana (born 9 May 1978) is a Burundian middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800 metres. Competing for the Arizona Wildcats track and field team, he won two NCAA DI national championships in the 800 m. William Oloonkishu Yiampoy (born 17 May 1974, in Emarti) is a Kenyan runner who specializes in the 800 metres. His personal best is 1:42.91 minutes, achieved in September 2002 in Rieti. He graduated from Sosio High School in Kilgoris in 1989. He was recruited by Kenya Police in 1991. He did not start running until 1996. In 1999, he ran his first European races. He was selected to compete at the 2000 Olympics replacing Patrick Konchellah, the winner of Kenyan Olympic trials. He was part of the 4 x 800 metres relay team who currently holds the world record. Antonio Pettigrew (November 3, 1967 – August 10, 2010) was an American sprinter who specialized in the 400 meters. Early life and career Pettigrew was born in Macon, Georgia. While attending St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina, Pettigrew was a four-time NCAA Division II champion in the 400 meter race. He came to prominence at the 1991 World Championships, where he won the 400 m gold medal and a silver medal in the 4 × 400 meters relay. At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Pettigrew threw his gold medal-winning Adidas spikes into the crowd after winning the 4 × 400 m final for the USA. Clinton Hill (born 19 April 1980) is an Australian athlete. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, his family moved to Australia in 1997.
