Ataşehir Kavşağı (Tram İzmir)
Ataşehir Kavşağı is a Turkish light-rail interchange station on Karşıyaka Tram Green Line, Çiğli Tram Blue Line and Çiğli Tram Red Line of the Tram İzmir network. It is also the terminus station of the Karşıyaka Tram Green Line. Station located in the residential neighborhood of Ataşehir, Çiğli on Nazım Hikmet Ran Boulevard. Tram İzmir, alternatively known as İzmir Tram (), is a tram network in İzmir, Turkey. Owned by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and operated by İzmir Metro A.Ş., the system consists of three lines: one in Karşıyaka, which opened on 11 April 2017, one in Konak, which opened on 24 March 2018 and one in Çiğli, which opened on 27 January 2024. An island platform (also center platform (American English) or centre platform (British English)) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Elektrik Su Havagazı Otobüs Troleybüs () or ESHOT is a bus service operating in the İzmir. ESHOT, along with İZULAŞ are the two main bus transit services in İzmir. Buses serve all districts, however, denser network presence attained in the central area. ESHOT is owned by the İzmir Municipality (İBB). History Before ESHOT was formed, all of İzmir's public services were operated by several companies. ESHOT Genel Müdürlüğü was formed on July 27, 1943, to take over the İzmir Tram and Electric Company. This company operated all trams, trolleybuses and electric facilities in the city. In 1945, ESHOT took over the İzmir Coal Gas Company and on June 5, 1947 ESHOT took over the İzmir Suları A.Ş. to have control over all the cities main facilities. Karşıyaka Tram
Karşıyaka () is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of İzmir Province, Turkey. Its area is 51 km2, and its population is 346,264 (2022). The district extends for twelve kilometres along the northern and eastern coastline of the tip of the Gulf of İzmir.
