Associação Pruedentina de Esportes Atléticos, simply known as Prudentina, is a Brazilian social club and a former professional Association football, football and basketball club based in Presidente Prudente, São Paulo (state), São Paulo. History Founded in 1936, Prudentina reached its glory days during the 60s, when it won the third and second divisions of São Paulo, and played in the elite for six seasons (1962 to 1967, its last year as a professional). Played at the Félix Ribeiro Marcondes Stadium, demolished in the 80s. Prudentina also had a women's basketball team in the 80s, twice champion in the category. Presidente Prudente is a Municipalities of Brazil, Brazilian municipality located in the Interior of São Paulo, interior of São Paulo (state), São Paulo, approximately 558 kilometers from the state capital, São Paulo. Campeonato Paulista Série A3 is the third tier of the professional state football league in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is run by the São Paulo State Football Federation (FPF). The tournament has been known as Série A3 since the 1993–94 season. Structure The current format of the Paulistão A3 was introduced in 2018, after the number of teams was decreased from 20 to 16. Two teams are promoted to Série A2, and the bottom two teams are relegated to Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão. First stage Each of the 16 competitors play each other once in the first stage of the competition, for a total of 15 matches between mid-January and early-April.
