Associação Nova Prata de Esportes Cultura e Lazer, commonly known as Associação Nova Prata, or just as Nova Prata, is a Brazilian football club based in Nova Prata, Rio Grande do Sul state. History The club was founded on April 10, 2003. The club won the Campeonato Municipal de Nova Prata in 2008. In 2009 and 2010 they participated in the Campeonato Estadual Amador. They competed in the 2011 edition of the Copa FGF. Nova Prata competed in the Campeonato Gaúcho Third Division in 2012. Nova Prata
Nova Prata is a municipality in the mountainous Serra Gaúcha region of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil. It is in the Guapore micro-region of the Nordeste Rio-Grandense meso-region of the state. Geography The city of Nova Prata is situated at about , at an altitude of 820 meters. The municipality occupies an area of 258.864 km2 or 259 km2. In 2020 the population was estimated to be 27,648. 2011 Copa FGF also known as Copa Dra Laci Ughini 2011, was the 8th edition of Copa FGF. 22 teams participated in the tournament. The winner qualified for 2011 Recopa Sul-Brasileira and 2012 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D. Moreover, if the 2012 Campeonato Gaúcho winner and runner-up were Grêmio and Internacional (GRE–NAL), the runner-up of the cup would have been allocated one of the three spots of the state to 2013 Copa do Brasil, otherwise the champion, runner-up and the third place of the league would have been qualified for the cup.
