Associação Atlética Francana, or simply Francana, is a Brazilian football team based in Franca, São Paulo. Founded in 1912, it plays in Campeonato Paulista Série A3. The Brazilian Football Confederation (, CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on Monday, 8 June 1914, as , and renamed Confederação Brasileira de Desportos in 1916. The football confederation, as known today, separated from other sports associations on 24 September 1979. The CBF has its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The confederation owns a training center, named Granja Comary, located in Teresópolis. It was announced on 29 September 2007, that the CBF would launch a women's league and cup competition in October 2007 following pressure from FIFA president Sepp Blatter during the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China. Campeonato Paulista Série A4 (previous known as Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão) is the fourth tier of the professional state football league in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is run by the São Paulo State Football Federation (FPF). The 1979 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, (officially the V Copa Brasil) was the 24th edition of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Overview In the First phase, 80 clubs were divided into 8 groups of 10 clubs.in the groups A, B, C, D, E and F, the four first clubs qualified to the Second phase, while in the groups G and H, eight clubs qualified. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, commonly known as the Série C or the Brazilian Série C to distinguish it from the Italian Serie C, is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Beginning in 2009, the Série C was reduced from 64 teams to 20 and the new Campeonato Brasileiro Série D is the qualifier for Brazilian league football. Campeonato Paulista Série A3 is the third tier of the professional state football league in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is run by the São Paulo State Football Federation (FPF). The tournament has been known as Série A3 since the 1993–94 season. Structure The current format of the Paulistão A3 was introduced in 2018, after the number of teams was decreased from 20 to 16. Two teams are promoted to Série A2, and the bottom two teams are relegated to Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão. First stage Each of the 16 competitors play each other once in the first stage of the competition, for a total of 15 matches between mid-January and early-April.
