Associação Atlética Cori-Sabbá, commonly known as Cori-Sabbá, is a Brazilian Association football, football club based in Floriano, Piauí, Floriano, Piauí, Piauí state. They competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, Série C three times. History The club was founded on May 24, 1973, after Corinthians-PI and Petroleo Sabbá, Auto Posto Sabbá fused. The Brazilian Football Confederation (, CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on Monday, 8 June 1914, as , and renamed Confederação Brasileira de Desportos in 1916. The 1995 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was the 39th edition of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Overview It was contested by 24 teams, and Botafogo won the championship, the club's second Série A title in history. Of the 24 participating teams, only two were relegated, Paysandu and União São João. Also only the first two teams from the Série B in 1995 would be qualified to the Série A in 1996. The Copa do Brasil 1996 was the 8th staging of the Copa do Brasil. The competition started on February 6, 1996, and concluded on June 16, 1996, with the second leg of the final, held at the Estádio Parque Antártica in São Paulo, in which Cruzeiro lifted the trophy for the second time after a 2-1 victory over Palmeiras. Floriano () is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Piauí. It was founded by the Arabs and Syrians. It is situated in the physiographic zone of the Médio Parnaíba, on the right side of the Parnaíba River, in front of the city of Barão de Grajaú, in the Maranhão.
