Ashleigh Jacinta Barty (born 24 April 1996) is an Australian former professional tennis player and cricketer. She was ranked as the List of WTA number 1 ranked singles tennis players, world No. 1 in women's singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for 121 weeks, and was ranked world No. 5 in doubles. Barty won 15 WTA Tour-level singles titles, including three Grand Slam (tennis)#Tournaments, majors at the 2019 French Open – Women's singles, 2019 French Open, 2021 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles, 2021 Wimbledon Championships, and 2022 Australian Open – Women's singles, 2022 Australian Open, as well as the 2019 WTA Finals – Singles, 2019 WTA Finals. The Hopman Cup XXV (also known as the Hyundai Hopman Cup for sponsorship reasons) corresponds to the 25th edition of the Hopman Cup tournament between nations in men's and women's tennis.
