Ascot Park, South Australia
Ascot Park is a suburb in the south-western part of Adelaide in the City of Marion. It was named after Ascot Racecourse in England. Ascot Park is bordered in the west by Marion Road, to the north by Wood Street, in the east by Robert Street and West Street and to the south by the southernmost of Daws Road and the Seaford railway line. It is adjacent to Park Holme, Edwardstown, South Plympton and Mitchell Park. Transport The Seaford railway line stops at Ascot Park railway station and both the Seaford and Tonsley train line stops at Woodlands Park railway station, and the bus route M44 runs from Golden Grove in the north-eastern suburbs through the city centre, through Ascot Park and its adjoining suburbs to Westfield Marion. Flinders Railway Line
The Flinders line is a suburban commuter line in Adelaide, South Australia, that branches off the Seaford line at Mitchell Park, and ends opposite Science Park, close to the Flinders University and the Flinders Medical Centre. The line is single track for most of its length, from Celtic Avenue, near Mitchell Park station, to its terminus. History The railway was constructed between 1965 and 1966, as a branch line from Woodlands Park railway station on what was then the Willunga railway line, to serve the new Chrysler assembly plant at Clovelly Park. Golden Grove is an outer north-eastern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, within the City of Tea Tree Gully. Developed in the 1980s as a public- private joint venture, it's noted for its hilly topography, extensive vegetation, and proximity to the Adelaide Hills. Golden Grove has an irregular shape and shares borders with Wynn Vale, Surrey Downs, Greenwith, Yatala Vale, Fairview Park, and Salisbury East. Daws Road, Adelaide
Daws Road is a major arterial road in the central southern suburbs of Adelaide. It runs east–west between Marion Road in the west and Goodwood Road in the east. Pasadena High School and the Repatriation Hospital are on Daws Road. Route Daws Road starts at the intersection with Oaklands Road and Marion Road in Ascot Park. Marion Road
Marion Road is a north–south arterial road through the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia, named after its traversal through the suburb of Marion and the local government area of City of Marion. It is designated part of route A14. Route Where it terminates in Bedford Park, southwest of Adelaide's centre, Marion Road feeds into the Southern Expressway near the northern starting point of that road. At its northern end, Marion Road terminates at Henley Beach Road. Route A14 continues west on Henley Beach Road for about 250 metres. It then travels north along the entire length of Holbrooks Road.
