As Aventuras Do Avião Vermelho
''The Adventures of the Red Airplane'' () is a 1936 book for children by the Brazilian author Érico VerÃssimo. Fernando is a naughty little boy. His father gives him a book of stories to keep him quiet. Fernando is entranced, especially by the tale of Captain Storm (''Capitão Tormenta''), who travels the world in his red airplane. Fernando decides he wants to be an aviator just like him. The father, doubtless pleased by his son's recent good behaviour, gives him a model airplane. Fernando, with his teddy bear ''Ruivo'' and his doll ''Chocolate'', set out on their adventures. They visit the Moon, China, Africa and India, braving the hazards of storms, lightning, and attacks by hostile sparrows; and even venturing into the depths of the ocean – where the little red airplane turns into a little red submarine. The book has been reprinted. The 2014 Brazilian animated film ''As Aventuras do Avião Vermelho'', directed by Frederico Pinto and José Maia, is based on the book. Refer ... Érico VerÃssimo
Érico Lopes Verissimo (December 17, 1905 – November 28, 1975) was an important Brazilian writer, born in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Biography Érico Verissimo was the son of Sebastião Verissimo da Fonseca and Abegahy Lopes Verissimo. His father, heir of a rich family in Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul, Cruz Alta, met financial ruin during his son's youth and, as a result, Erico didn't complete secondary school because of the need to work. Verissimo settled in Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul, Cruz Alta as the owner of a Pharmacy, drugstore, but was unsuccessful. He then moved to Porto Alegre in 1930, willing to live solely by selling his writing. There he began to live around writers of renown, such as Mário Quintana, Augusto Meyer, Guilhermino César and others. Animation is a filmmaking technique whereby still images are manipulated to create moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film.
