As-Sahab
As-Sahab Media (Arabic: السحاب, "The Cloud") is the official media wing of Al-Qaeda's core leadership based in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It produces media featuring original sermons and speeches by senior Al-Qaeda commanders as well as footage of international operations carried out by Al-Qaeda. In addition to being released in Arabic, some published videos come with English subtitles. As-Sahab produces "documentary-quality" videos and its first production under the name is believed to have been in 2001 with the involvement of Adam Yahiye Gadahn. Regional subchannels As-Sahab's subchannels are divided into their respective geographical regions and prominent Al-Qaeda groups of the regions, these channels feature region specific footage and feature speeches from their own individual leaders. Adam Yahiye Gadahn
Adam Yahiye Gadahn (, ''Ādam Yaḥyā Ghadan''; September 1, 1978 – January 19, 2015) was an American senior operative, cultural interpreter, spokesman and media advisor for the Islamist group al-Qaeda, as well as prolific noise musician. Beginning in 2004, he appeared in a number of videos produced by al-Qaeda as "Azzam the American" ('Azzām al-Amrīki, ), sometimes transliterated as Ezzam Al-Amrikee). Gadahn, who converted to Islam in 1995 at a California mosque, was described as "homegrown," a term used by scholars and government officials for Western citizens "picking up the sword of the idea" (in the words of one FBI agent) to commit attacks in the West. American intelligence officials allege that he inspired the 2007 Osama bin Laden video. In 2004, he was added to the FBI Seeking Information – War on Terrorism list. Abd Al-Rahman Al-Maghribi
Abd al-Rahman al-Maghrebi (; born 1970 or 1975) is a Moroccan-born terrorist and senior member of Al-Qaeda (AQ) who leads the organization's External Communications Office, including As-Sahab Media. He is the son-in-law of the group's late emir Ayman al-Zawahiri, and is seen as a potential successor to Saif al-Adel as leader of the terror group. Though primarily known by a nom de guerre which references his Moroccan birthplace, his given name is Mohamed Abattay (). After his radicalization in the late 1990s, al-Maghrebi abandoned his schooling in Germany and departed for the infamous Al Farouq training camp outside Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he was hand-picked by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed for work in the groups propaganda arm. Az-Zallaqa Foundation () is a propaganda media foundation for the Al-Qaeda linked terrorist organization Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin. History Az-Zallaqa was established in 2017, first documenting attacks by JNIM militants in Mali against a United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali Super Camp at Timbuktu Military Airport with mortars known as the 2017 Timbuktu attack. Since the establishment of the foundation, it has been the main outlet for JNIM's propaganda and news alerts online. Al-Andalus Media (), also known as Al-Andalus Media Production Foundation () is the Jihadist propaganda unit for the militant organization Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb that creates video and audio messages that relate to the current conflict and issues with the people, specifically Muslims, in North Africa. Al-Malahem Media (AMM) () is the media wing of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Located in Yemen, AMM uploads audio messages, online magazines and video series in Arabic, English, and French. AMM publishes multiple magazines, them being ''Sada al-Malahem'' () and ''Inspire,'' as well as the "''From the field"'' video series. Sada al-Malahem The main Arabic component of AMM's media wing is an online magazine known as ''Sada al-Malahem''.
