Artūras Barysas "Baras" (May 10, 1954 – January 28, 2005) was a Lithuanian actor, singer, photographer, and filmmaker, known as a member of the counter-culture and the father of modern Lithuanian avant-garde. Biography As a teenager moved from Panevėžys to Vilnius, where finished the in Antakalnis. In 8th grade entered moviemaking circle in a Pioneers Palace. After the school attempted to enter Moscow institute of cinematography, but was rejected because of strong myopia. Artūras Dubonis (born July 23, 1962 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian historian and Doctorate, Doctor of Humanities who works at the Lithuanian Institute of History. His main research interests are: Lithuanian Metrica research and publishing, Lithuanian history sources, Lithuanian society in the 13th–16th centuries, Lithuanian foreign policy in the 13th century and the first half of the 14th century. Dubonis is known for criticism of Litvinism and Litvinistic theories by Belarusian historians such as Mikola Yermalovich and which he describes as having nothing in common with the science of history. Dubonis also denies that Novogrudok was once the capital of Lithuania and describes this theory as "parasitic in Belarusian historiography" and "allegedly scientific". References

Artūras Gudaitis (born 19 June 1993) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Rytas Vilnius of the Lithuanian Basketball League. Standing at , he plays at the center position. He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 47th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. Early career Before starting his professional career, Gudaitis played in the RKL with the LCC Klaipėda for one season. Artūras Jomantas (born May 4, 1985) is a Lithuanian former professional basketball player. Professional career Born in Mažeikiai, Lithuania, he made his debut with Mažeikiai Nafta during the 2001-02 season. He played high-school basketball at Laurinburg Normal HS. In 2004, he signed with Šiauliai and played there until the end of the 2005–06 season. He joined Lietuvos rytas in 2006 and stayed there for 7 seasons. Despite being a solid player at first, his career in Lietuvos rytas quickly went downward, and he was eventually released in May 2013. He is the current executive vice president of basketball operations of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Artūras Kasputis (born 26 February 1967) is a retired track and road racing cyclist from Lithuania, who represented the USSR at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. There he won the gold medal in the men's 4.000 team pursuit, alongside Viacheslav Ekimov, Dmitry Nelyubin and Gintautas Umaras. During the Soviet time he trained at Dynamo sports society in Klaipėda. Artūras Paulauskas (born 23 August 1953 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian politician. He was the Speaker of Seimas, the parliament of Lithuania, from 2000 to 2006, and he served as Acting President of Lithuania from 6 April 2004 to 12 July 2004.
