Arthur Mørch Hansson
Arthur Mørch Hansson (23 June 1910 – 4 January 1969) was a Norwegian diplomat. Taking part as a soldier in the Norwegian Campaign, and subsequently in organising of resistance against the German occupation of Norway, he then initiated a diplomatic career. Personal life Hansson was born in Kristiania on 23 June 1910 to judge Michael Hansson and Minnie Christensen. He married Jette Emilie Gad in 1939. He was a brother of Knut Mørch Hansson. Career After qualifying for higher education in 1930, Hansson undertook a mercantile education. In 1940 he volunteered as a soldier in the Winter War in Finland, and after the German invasion in Norway he fought in the Norwegian campaign. He was among the pioneers of the resistance organization Milorg from 1940 to 1942, serving for a short period as secretary-general ("Stor O") in the central operative leadership. ''Hvem er hvem?'' () was a Norwegian book series, presenting facts about notable persons from Norway. The first edition was issued in 1912, and the 14th edition came in 1994. From 1938, the plan was to publish such a book every three years, but the Second World War made that impossible. At the time, such a book was published annually in Denmark and every two years in Sweden. In the 2008 edition, edited by Knut Olav Åmås, one thousand persons were selected for presentation. About one third of the articles are longer, signed biographies, while the rest have a shorter, more encyclopedic format. The latest edition was edited by Knut Olav Åmås and narrowed down to 1,000 people. This differs from the older ones in style in that the articles are in a more journalistic style with personal characteristics, in addition to the purely biographical year information. Ministry Of Foreign Affairs (Norway)
The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( Norwegian or ''Utenriksdepartementet''; or ''Utanriksdepartementet''; UD) is the foreign ministry of the Kingdom of Norway.
