Arroyo () is a Arroyo barrio-pueblo, town and Municipalities of Puerto Rico, municipality located along the southern coast of Puerto Rico and bordered by the Caribbean Sea, east of the municipality of Guayama, Puerto Rico, Guayama and northwest of the municipality of Patillas, Puerto Rico, Patillas. Bubonic plague is one of three types of Plague (disease), plague caused by the Bacteria, bacterium ''Yersinia pestis''. One to seven days after exposure to the bacteria, flu-like symptoms develop. Cholera () is an infection of the small intestine by some Strain (biology), strains of the Bacteria, bacterium ''Vibrio cholerae''. Symptoms may range from none, to mild, to severe. Patillas, Puerto Rico
Patillas (, ) is a beach town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the southeastern coast, south of San Lorenzo; west of Yabucoa and Maunabo; and east of Guayama and Arroyo. It is spread over 15 barrios and Patillas Pueblo (the downtown area and the administrative center of the city). It is part of the Guayama Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Europeans had settled the area as early as 1760. There was, however, no permanent settlement until the town was officially founded in 1811.
