Arnold Chan
Arnold Chan (June 10, 1967 – September 14, 2017) was a Canadian lawyer and politician, who was elected to represent the electoral district (Canada), riding of Scarborough—Agincourt (federal electoral district), Scarborough—Agincourt in the House of Commons of Canada in the By-elections to the 41st Canadian Parliament#June 30, 2014 by-elections, 2014 by-election. Chan was a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. Education Arnold attended Henry Kelsey Senior Public School, Sir Ernest MacMillan Senior Public School and Dr Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute, Chan studied at the University of Toronto, earning an undergraduate and two master's degrees in political science and urban planning, before obtaining a law degree from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute (also known as Bethune, BCI, or Dr. Norman Bethune CI) is a high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the Steeles neighbourhood of the former suburb of Scarborough. It was founded in 1979 and named after Norman Bethune, a Canadian doctor and communist who served under the Eighth Route Army. Garo Paylan (Armenian: Կարօ Փայլան, born 1972) is a politician from Turkey and one of the country's leading democracy activists. Paylan was among the few Armenians elected to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and served for two consecutive terms in 2015–2018 and 2018–2023, representing Istanbul and Diyarbakir. He is a founding member of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and since 2016 was the first Armenian in the history of the Republic of Turkey to publicly discuss the Armenian deportation of 1915 from the podium of the Turkish parliament. Armenian Canadians (Western Armenian: գանատահայեր, Eastern Armenian: կանադահայեր, ''kanadahayer''; ) are citizens and permanent residents of Canada who have total or partial Armenian ancestry. Dalton McGuinty
Dalton James Patrick McGuinty Jr. (born July 19, 1955) is a Canadian former politician who served as the 24th premier of Ontario from 2003 to 2013. He was the first Liberal leader to win two majority governments since Mitchell Hepburn nearly 70 years earlier. In 2011, he became the first Liberal premier to secure a third consecutive term since Oliver Mowat after his party was re-elected in that year's provincial election. McGuinty was born in Ottawa.
