Arna Sif Pálsdóttir
Arna Sif Pálsdóttir (born 5 January 1988) is an Icelandic team handball player for Valur of the Úrvalsdeild kvenna. She plays on the Icelandic national team, and participated at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Brazil. Club career Arna came up through the junior ranks of HK and played with the senior team from 2005 to 2009. She played for Horsens HK during the 2009–2010 season, appearing in 20 games in the Danish Damehåndboldligaen and scoring 19 goals. After Horsens was relegated, she signed with rival Team Esbjerg. Heimaey
Heimaey (), is an Icelandic island. At , it is the largest island in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago, and the largest and most populated island off the Icelandic coast. Heimaey is off the south coast of Iceland. It is the only populated island of the Vestmannaeyjar islands, with a population of 4,414. The Vestmannaeyjar Airport and the Westman Islands Golf Club taken together cover a good portion of the island. 2011 World Women's Handball Championship
The 2011 World Women's Handball Championship was the 20th edition of the international championship tournament in women's Team sport handball that is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF). Brazil hosted the event from 2–18 December 2011. On 18 December 2011, Norway successfully contested France 32–24 in the final. Norway was the second team to achieve a triple title cache all in the same tournament by winning the World Championship, European Championship and Olympic Games titles. Denmark had made this achievement previously. France lost, its second consecutive World Championship final (2009), to Russia. Norway automatically qualified for the 2012 Olympic Handball tournament and 2013 World Championship. Stöð 2, literally Station 2, was an Icelandic subscription television channel.
