Herleva () was an 11th-century Norman people, Norman woman known for having been the mother of William the Conqueror, born to an extramarital relationship with Robert I, Duke of Normandy, and also of William's prominent half-brothers Odo of Bayeux and Robert, Count of Mortain, born to Herleva's marriage to Herluin de Conteville. Life Herleva's background and the circumstances of William's birth are shrouded in mystery. She wrote in a number of genres, including horror, science fiction, vampire, erotica, and gay erotica. Early life Morlan was born in Chicago, Illinois, January 3, 1958. From 1961 to 1969, she lived in Los Angeles, California. Morlan described a troubled childhood in a 2014 interview. Her mother and maternal grandmother had isolated her and terrorized her. After Morlan's mother lost custody of Arlette, the mother took Arlette to a different state and for fifty years, Arlette was out of contact with her father. Morlan graduated from Mount Senario College in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, in 1980.

Arlette Lucero is an American visual artist, educator, and illustrator. In 2012, she was inducted as a Corn Mother for her community involvement and support. Background Rooting from the mid-twentieth century and based in Denver, Colorado, Arlette Lucero is co-founder and previous education director of the Chicano Humanities and Arts Council (CHAC), an art organization in Denver that displays Chicanx art as temporary exhibitions. She has been self-employed since 1976. Lucero expresses her Chicana heritage through her artwork, including photography, illustration, and computer art. Arlette Leroi-Gourhan (; born Arlette Royer, 9 January 1913, Paris – 25 April 2005, Vermenton) was a French archaeologist who initiated the use of palynology as part of archaeological studies.
