Arifur Rahman
Arifur Rahman (born August 8, 1984) is a Bangladeshis, Bangladeshi-Norwegians, Norwegian political cartoonist, illustrator and animator. He is a self-taught cartoonist who is renowned for his contribution to cartoons both on the internet and in print media. In Bangladesh, he is best known as Cartoonist Arif for anti-corruption cartoons. He's won multiple awards for Anti-Corruption cartoons from Transparency International Bangladesh and the The Daily Star (Bangladesh), Daily Star. He was the first and former guest cartoonist of International Cities of Refuge Network, International Cities of Refuge Network (ICORN). He is a publisher of cartoon magazine Toons Mag and the organizer of international cartoon contests and exhibitions. Shahjadpur Upazila
Shahjadpur () is an upazila, or sub-district of Sirajganj District, located in Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. History In , a Yemenite Sufi prince known as Makhdum Shah, Makhdum Shah Daulah settled in the area now comprising Shahzadpur, along with his sister, three nephews, twelve disciples and other followers. He is credited for propagating Islam in the region despite the displeasure of the local Hindu ''raja'' Vikrama Keshari. Conflict occurred between the two sides in which the prince was executed by Keshari and many of his disciples were shaheed, martyred. Keshari later repented for his hostility towards the Muslim community and buried their deceased with due solemnity. The area was named as Shahzadpur (city of the prince) in his honour. Depressed Mode is a death/doom/funeral doom metal band from Finland. History Depressed Mode was formed in 2005 as a solo project of Ossy Salonen.
