Ariel Silvio Zárate Riga (born 13 July 1973) is an Argentine former professional association football, footballer who played mainly as an attacking midfielder, and a manager (association football), manager. Only having made his debut in the Argentine Primera División, Primera División in his own country well past his 30s, he spent the vast majority of his professional career in Spain, mainly with Málaga CF, Málaga which he represented in three full La Liga seasons. Sergio Fabián Zárate Riga (born 14 October 1969) was an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He spent most of his career in the Bundesliga and the Primera División de México apart from his native Argentina. Mauro Matías Zárate (; born 13 March 1987) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a forward. Zárate started his career with Vélez Sarsfield in his native country, playing three years for the team and winning the Primera División title in the 2005 Clausura tournament. He later signed for Qatari side Al-Sadd in 2007, where he played only six months before transferring on loan to Birmingham City in England. However, after Birmingham's relegation, Zárate was loaned out again, this time to Lazio in Italy, where he won the Coppa Italia. His move to Lazio was then made permanent for a fee of around €20 million, with a €60 million buy-out clause. The 2010–11 Primera División season was the 120th season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. A total of 20 teams competed in two championships —the Apertura and Clausura— over the course of the season, which started on 6 August 2010 and ended on 30 June 2011, one day prior to the start of the 2011 Copa América, held in Argentina.
