The Arena México 60th Anniversary Show was a major professional wrestling show produced by the Mexican ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre ("World Wrestling Council"; CMLL) and took place on April 29, 2016, in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The annual event commemorates the 1956 opening of Arena México, nicknamed "The Cathedral of Lucha Libre", CMLL's main venue and the largest arena ever built specifically for professional wrestling. The show featured the finals of a three-week-long annual '' Torneo Nacional de Parejas Increibles'' tournament which saw the team of Místico and Mephisto defeat Carístico and Cibernético to win the entire 16-team tournament. The Mexican National Welterweight Championship (''Campeonato Nacional Peso Welter'' in Spanish) is a Mexican professional wrestling championship created and sanctioned by Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Mexico D.F. Fishman (wrestler)
José Ángel Nájera Sánchez (January 6, 1951 – April 8, 2017) was a Mexican '' luchador'', or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Fishman. Fishman was one of the top wrestlers in the mid-1970s and 1980s and worked for Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre, the Universal Wrestling Association, the World Wrestling Association and AAA in Mexico as well as frequent trips to Japan and the United States. Nájera was unmasked after losing a match in 2000 and retired shortly afterwards. José Díaz Velázquez (July 6, 1929 – April 16, 2003), better known by his ring name Ray Mendoza, was a Mexican ''luchador'' (or professional wrestler). Pedro Aguayo Damián (18 January 1946 — 3 July 2019) better known as "(El) Perro Aguayo" (Aguayo the dog) and El Can de Nochistlan (The Nochistlan Dog) was a Mexican wrestler through the 1970s to the 1990s. Daniel García Arteaga (April 9, 1926 – October 31, 2006), best known under the ring name Huracán Ramírez ( English: "Hurricane Ramírez"), was a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'' (or masked professional wrestler) and actor. García was neither the first, nor the last, wrestler to work under the name "Huracán Ramírez". He was given the name in the mid-1950s, when the wrestler who originally played Huracán in the 1953 film '' Huracán Ramírez'' decided to give up the role in the ring because he no longer wanted to obscure his face with the mask.
