Ardara, Italy
Ardara () is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italy, Italian region Sardinia, located about north of Cagliari and about southeast of Sassari. It was one of the capitals of Giudicato di Torres. The village houses the ruins of the Castle of the Giudicato of Torres (11th century), the medieval walls, and the Romanesque Basilica of Santa Maria del Regno. Ardara borders the municipalities of Chiaramonti, Mores (SS), Mores, Ozieri, Ploaghe and Siligo. Ardara is the birthplace of the singer Roberto Meloni (singer), Roberto Meloni, who represented Latvia at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, 2007 and 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with Bonaparti.lv and Pirates of the Sea bands. Ozieri () is a ''comune'' (municipality) of approximatively 11,000 inhabitants in the province of Sassari, in the Italian region of Sardinia, in the Logudoro historical region. Pirates Of The Sea
Pirates of the Sea is a musical project that in May 2008 represented Latvia in Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade, Serbia with their song " Wolves of the Sea". It consists of three members: Italian singer Roberto Meloni who is living in Latvia, dancer Aleksandra Kurusova as well as the TV and radio person Jānis Vaišļa. Meloni also represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 as a part of Bonaparti.lv. The song "Wolves of the Sea" was written by four Swedish composers: Jonas Liberg, Johan Sahlen, Claes Andreasson and Torbjörn Wassenius. On February 2, Pirates won the first semi-final of the national finals, getting 12,010 televotes - the best result of both semi-finals.
