Arbor Lodge, Portland, Oregon
Arbor Lodge is a neighborhood in the North section of Portland, Oregon. Interstate 5 forms the eastern boundary of the neighborhood. The south boundary is formed by Ainsworth Street, the west boundary is formed by a combination of Willamette Boulevard and Chataqua Boulevard, and the north boundary is formed by Lombard Street (Portland, Oregon), Lombard Street. The bordering neighborhoods are Piedmont, Portland, Oregon, Piedmont to the east, Overlook to the south, University Park, Portland, Oregon, University Park to the west, and Kenton, Portland, Oregon, Kenton to the north. The North Lombard Transit Center and the Rosa Parks MAX Station, Rosa Parks stations on the MAX Yellow Line provide light rail service to the neighborhood. Their opening in 2004 was part of a spurt of new development in the neighborhood, including a New Seasons Market and a Fred Meyer Superstore, mega-store. Rosa Parks MAX Station
Rosa Parks is a light rail station on the MAX Yellow Line in the Arbor Lodge, Portland, Oregon, Arbor Lodge neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. It is the 6th stop northbound on the Interstate MAX extension. It was originally named North Portland Boulevard, but following the city's decision in fall 2006 to rename Portland Blvd. to Rosa Parks Way, TriMet indicated it would support the change by renaming the station, at a then-undetermined future date. The signs at the station continued to show the old name until Feb. 4, 2009, when a dedication ceremony was held, unveiling new signs renaming it as "Rosa Parks" station ("Way" being implied only). On TriMet's maps and other media, the station is shown as "N Rosa Parks Way". The station is located in the median of Interstate Avenue near the intersection of N Rosa Parks Way. MAX Yellow Line
The MAX Yellow Line is a light rail service in Portland, Oregon, United States, operated by TriMet as part of the MAX Light Rail system. It connects North Portland to Portland City Center and Portland State University (PSU) with 17 stops from Expo Center station to PSU South/Southwest 6th and College station. The line travels from Portland Expo Center in the north, south to the Rose Quarter through a light rail segment along the median of Interstate Avenue. From the Rose Quarter, it crosses the Willamette River via the Steel Bridge and enters downtown Portland, where it operates as a northbound-only service of the Portland Transit Mall on 6th Avenue. Kenton is a neighborhood in the north section of Portland, Oregon, United States. The neighborhood was originally a company town founded in 1911 for the Swift Meat Packing Company. Geography Kenton's northern border is formed by North Portland Harbor, the channel of the Columbia River that separates the area from Hayden Island. Kenton's eastern boundary is Interstate 5 and the neighborhood's southern edge is defined by North Lombard Street. University Park is a neighborhood in the north section of Portland, Oregon on the east shore of the Willamette River.
