Antonio Miró Quesada De La Guerra
Antonio Tomás Miró Quesada de la Guerra (Callao; — Lima; ) was a Peruvian journalist, lawyer, diplomat and politician. He was director of the newspaper '' El Comercio'' from 1905 until his assassination in 1935, having written articles in his final years under the pseudonym of El Mismo. Biography He was the son of José Antonio Miró Quesada (Panama; — Lima; ) and Matilde de la Guerra Gorostide ( — ). His father was the owner of the newspaper '' El Comercio''. Much of his school studies were carried out in England, because his parents were outside Peru for political reasons; Back in Lima, he continued them under the direction of Professor Agustín Whilar. He entered the University of San Marcos, where he obtained the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts (1896), Doctor of Letters (1896), Bachelor of Jurisprudence (1897), Lawyer (1898) and Doctor of Political and Administrative Sciences. Jirón Quilca
Jirón Quilca is a major street in the Damero de Pizarro, located in the historic centre of Lima, Peru. The street starts at its intersection with the Jirón de la Unión and continues until it reaches Avenida Alfonso Ugarte, Alfonso Ugarte Avenue. History The road that today constitutes the street was laid by Francisco Pizarro when he founded the city of Lima on January 18, 1535. In 1862, when a new urban nomenclature was adopted, the road was named jirón Quilca, after the Quilca District, district in Camaná Province, Department of Arequipa, Arequipa. The Colón Theatre () is a historical building and former theatre located next to the Plaza San Martín, Lima, San Martín Plaza, part of the Historic Centre of Lima, historic centre of Lima.
