Antonio Martínez Sarrión (1 February 1939 – 14 September 2021) was a Spanish poet and translator. Early life and education Martínez Sarrión was born in Albacete, Castilla-La Mancha. He graduated with his baccalaureate in law from the University of Murcia in 1961. Career In 1963, Martínez Sarrión moved to Madrid where he worked as a public official in the General State Administration. Between 1974 and 1976, he co-edited the literary magazine ''La Ilustración Poética Española e Iberoamericana'' with Jesús Munárriz and José Esteban. Antonio Alonso Martinez (born 29 April 1963 in Portugal) is a Spanish painter. Since the 80s, the artist argues that humanity will find their own spiritual reality. This has been the central theme of his work for more than 30 years. Born in Portugal to Spanish parents, Martinez opted for the Spanish nationality in 1978. He studied Fine Arts at thCenter for Art and Visual Communication Lisbon, Portugal. Antonio José Martínez (January 17, 1793 – July 27, 1867) was a New Mexican priest, educator, publisher, rancher, farmer, community leader, and politician. Antonio María Martínez (died 1823) was a colonel in the infantry regiment of Zamora and the last governor of Spanish Texas. History He was born in Andújar, province of Jaén, Spain. He entered military service on July 7, 1785, and had a distinguished career, winning the Cross of Northern Europe and the Cross of Germany on European battlefields. He assumed the political and military governorship of Spanish Texas on March 27, 1817. By the summer of 1821, the Spanish regime was faced with disaster. Agustín de Iturbide was in possession of Mexico, and Martínez, at the request of the Baron de Bastrop, approved Moses Austin's petition for permission to bring 300 settlers into Texas. Antonio Luis "Pocholo" Martínez (June 20, 1926 – December 26, 2016) was a Filipino basketball player who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics and the 1952 Summer Olympics. Biography Martínez usually played guard and saw action in the first Asian Games in New Delhi in 1951 and the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He played for De La Salle before the last war. It was during the war years that he took up the game. After liberation, Martínez played for the San Beda junior team under coach Arturo Rius from whom he learned the fundamentals of basketball. There was no NCAA at that time so he played against American teams which belonged to the liberation forces. He then transferred to University of Santo Tomas to take up commerce. Antonio "Chivas" Martínez (born 9 July 1977) is a Mexican former professional footballer who last played as a midfielder for Major League Soccer club Chivas USA.
