Antonio Guidi (politician)
Antonio Guidi (born 13 June 1945) is an Italian physician and politician. He was appointed as the first minister of family when the body was established. He was in office from May 1994 to January 1995. Biography Guidi was born in Rome on 13 June 1945. Due to the prolonged birth duration he experienced severe asphyxiation which caused him having spastic tetraparesis. He obtained a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from Sapienza University of Rome. He is a specialist of the fields neurology and child neuropsychiatry. He taught at his alma mater for three years. In 1989 he worked as the regional editor of the newspaper ''Il Corriere Adriatico'' in Ancona. From 1989 to 1993 he headed the Department of Persons with Disabilities of the General Confederation of Labour. Guidi's political career began in 1994 when he was named minister of family to the first cabinet of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Adnkronos is an Italian news agency. History and profile Adnkronos was established in 1963 by a merger of two agencies, ''Kronos'' (founded in 1951) and ''Agenzia Di Notizie'' (founded in 1959). The agency is based in Rome. Adnkronos is owned by Giuseppe Marra Communications. Its editor-in-chief is Giuseppe Marra. The agency was expanded to include Adnkronos Salute which is a health agency. In 2003, the agency established its International office, Adnkronos International, which provides news and reports in Arabic and English, mainly from the Arab world. In July 2014, Adnkronos International signed an agreement with Iran's official news agency, IRNA, to promote bilateral news cooperation. Gianni Alemanno
Giovanni "Gianni" Alemanno (born 3 March 1958) is an Italian politician who from April 2008 until June 2013 was mayor of Rome for The People of Freedom. He was the secretary of the National Movement for Sovereignty from 2017 to 2019. Career At an early age Alemanno joined the neo-fascist/post-fascist Italian Social Movement, and although arrested three times he was never convicted. The first arrest took place in Rome on 20 November 1981, when he was accused (along with four others) of intimidating a 23-year-old student, Dario D'Andrea, who was hit on the head by Sergio Mariani, then secretary of the Fronte della Gioventù (the youth organization of the Italian Social Movement). Mariani was sentenced, while Alemanno was acquitted. The second time was in 1982, when Alemanno was accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the Soviet Union embassy. Neuropsychiatry is a branch of medicine that deals with psychiatry as it relates to neurology, in an effort to understand and attribute behavior to the interaction of neurobiology and social psychology factors.
