Antonina Dragašević
Antonina Dragašević (; born 25 March 1948), née Antonina Georgieva (), is a Bulgarian and Serbian chess player who holds the title of Woman International Master (WIM, 1972). She was a four-time winner of the Bulgarian Women's Chess Championship (1968, 1970, 1971, 1977). Biography From the mid-1960s to the end of the 1970s, she was one of the leading Bulgarian women's chess players. She won Bulgarian Women's Chess Championship four times: 1968, 1970, 1971 and 1977. The winner of many international chess tournaments, including second place in Plovdiv (1974) and won Belgrade (1975). In 1972, Antonina Dragašević was awarded the FIDE Woman International Master (WIM) title. In 1978, she married a Montenegrin chess player Srdja Dragašević, with whom she has a daughter Dolja Dragašević and a son Vuko Dragašević, and moved to Yugoslavia. European Senior Chess Championship
The European Senior Chess Championship is a chess tournament for senior chess players organised by the European Chess Union (ECU). Beginning in 2001, entry was open to men aged sixty or over (60 +) by January 1 of the year the tournament starts. The corresponding, women's category had an age restriction of fifty years or over (50+). In 2014 the competition was split into separate tournaments for the age categories of 65+ and 50+ and these age restrictions were unified across both genders. The format of each tournament is a 9-round Swiss, the overall winners being awarded the respective titles of "European Senior Chess Champion" and "European Senior Women's Chess Champion" in each age category. World Senior Chess Championship
The World Senior Chess Championship is an annual chess tournament established in 1991 by FIDE, the World Chess Federation. The 2024 tournament took place in Porto Santo, Portugal from November 16–29, 2024. Overview Originally, the minimum age was 60 years for men, and 50 for women. Since 2014, the Senior Championship is split in two different age categories, 50+ and 65+, with separate open and women-only tournaments. Participants must reach the age of 50 or 65 years by December 31 of the year of the event. There is a category for players 75+ which provides special prizes. The championship is organized as an eleven-round Swiss system tournament. It is an open tournament, and each FIDE member federation may send as many players as desired.
