Antoni Caimari Caldés
Antoni Caimari Caldés (born December 22, 1976) is a self-taught Spanish filmmaker, sculptor, photographer, digital artist, and composer. He is also an author and actor. Career Caimari Caldés began making his first kinetic sculptures in 1987 under the influence of the Swiss sculptor Jean Tinguely. His first exhibition was in 1994 where he donated his first large sculpture ''The Beast'' to his hometown of La Puebla, located in the public square "Plaza del Mercado" of his town. Between 1994 and 2009, Caimari Caldés held various exhibitions showing his work in different disciplines. He is currently dedicated to the production and realization of his own auteur cinema through the help of notable actors and characters from the world of cinema. Kinetic Art
Kinetic art is art from any medium that contains movement perceivable by the viewer or that depends on motion for its effects. Canvas paintings that extend the viewer's perspective of the artwork and incorporate multidimensional movement are the earliest examples of kinetic art. More pertinently speaking, kinetic art is a term that today most often refers to three-dimensional sculptures and figures such as mobiles that move naturally or are machine operated (see e.g. videos on this page of works of George Rickey and Uli Aschenborn). The moving parts are generally powered by wind, a motor or the observer. Kinetic art encompasses a wide variety of overlapping techniques and styles. Jean Tinguely
Jean Tinguely (22 May 1925 – 30 August 1991) was a Swiss sculptor best known for his kinetic art sculptural machines (known officially as Métamatics) that extended the Dada tradition into the later part of the 20th century.Chilvers, Ian; Glaves-Smith, John (2009).
