Anton Alén
Anton Alén (born 3 June 1983) is a Finnish rally driver, who competed in World Rally Championship and Intercontinental Rally Challenge during his career. He was a factory driver for Fiat Abarth from 2007 to 2009. He scored one IRC victory, at 2007 Rally Russia. Hís father Markku Alén became one-time World Rally Champion in 1978 with the legendary Fiat 131 Abarth Abarth & C. S.p.A. 2009 Rally Finland
The 2009 Neste Oil Rally Finland was the 59th running of the Rally Finland and the ninth round of the 2009 World Rally Championship season. The rally consisted of 23 Special stage (rallying), special stages and was won by BP Ford World Rally Team, Ford's Mikko Hirvonen. This marked his third victory in a row and his first in his home event. Last year's winner Sébastien Loeb of Citroën Total World Rally Team, Citroën finished second and took his first podium since the 2009 Rally Argentina, Rally Argentina back in April. 2005 Rally Japan
The 2005 Rally Japan was the 13th round of the 2005 World Rally Championship. It took place between September 30 and October 2, 2005. Peugeot's Marcus Grönholm won the race after capitalizing on then-leader Petter Solberg's accident after his Subaru hit a rock on the penultimate stage. It was Grönholm's 18th win in the World Rally Championship which he would dedicate to the late Michael Park, who was killed in an accident during the previous round, the Wales Rally GB. Citroën's Sébastien Loeb finished in second place and thus became World Rally Champion in back-to-back seasons. 2005 Rally GB
The 2005 Wales Rally GB (formally known as 61st Wales Rally GB) was the 12th round of the 2005 World Rally Championship. The race was held over four days between 15 and 18 September 2005, and operated out of Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Report This rally saw the death of Markko Märtin's co-driver Michael Park of Peugeot after Märtin's 307 lost control and traction, causing it to go off-road and crash into a tree at Stage 15 of the rally. Peugeot decided to withdraw Marcus Grönholm from the event due to the accident. Race organizers cancelled the rally's final two stages, when Sébastien Loeb, who was in the lead, decided to take a time penalty that gave Petter Solberg the victory in the race. Loeb’s victory would have earned him the 2005 world championship, but he decided he did not want to win the title in such tragic circumstances.
