Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü ('' English: Antalya Greater Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club''), commonly abbreviated as Antalya BB is a basketball team based in the city of Antalya in Turkey. Their home arena is the Dilek Sabancı Sport Hall with a capacity of 2,500 seats. History It was founded first as Antalyaspor in 1966. It played in First League between 1993 and 1996. It qualified to play-offs in 1994–1995 season after finishing 6th with 17 wins. It 3–1 defeated Meysuspor at 1st round but was eliminated by Tofaş SAS by 3–0 at quarter final. It was renamed as Muratpaşa Belediyespor in 1996–1997 season and returned to First League in 1997. Muratpaşa Belediyespor played the league between 1997 and 1999. It merged with basketball branch of Antbirlik (founded in 1978), who played First League between 1981–1982 and 1994–1996. It also played in 2000–2001 season as Muratpaşa Belediyespor Antbirlik. Turkish Basketball Second League
The Turkish Basketball Second League, also called TB2L, is Turkish basketball league system, the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously called the Turkish Basketball Third League (TB3L). Format and promotion and relegation Regular Season Competitions, twenty-five (25) teams; are divided into one (1) group of nine (9) teams and two (2) groups (A-B-C) of eight (8) teams. The matches are played in away matches, two rounds and league format. After these matches, the first two teams in six (6) places will be eligible to play in the Play-Off Round of 12 matches. A total of twelve (12) teams in third (3rd), fourth (4th), fifth (5th) and sixth (6th) places in their groups will be eligible to play in the Play-Off Elimination Round matches in order to advance to the Play-Off Round of 12 matches. Marcus Douthit
Marcus Eugene Douthit (born April 15, 1980) is a Filipino-American former basketball player. He graduated from Providence College. After his stint with the Providence Friars, he was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the 2004 NBA draft. Kristaps Valters (born September 18, 1981) is a Latvian former professional basketball player. After retiring he became a coach, and is currently working as a head coach for Valmiera/ORDO. Playing career Valters first played professionally in 1998, for ASK/Brocēni/LMT. Patrick Oliver Femerling (born 4 March 1975) is a German former professional basketball player who played as a center. Professional career Femerling was born in Hamburg.
