Annæus Schjødt Jr.
Annæus Schjødt (13 February 1920 – 4 November 2014) was a Norwegian barrister. Personal life He was born in Aker, Norway, Aker as a son of Annæus Schjødt (1888–1972) and Hedevig Schjødt, née Petersen (1892–1966). He was a grandson of Attorney General Annæus J. Schjødt. His sister Karen Hedevig Schjødt married chief physician Thorstein Guthe. From 1947 to 1965 he was married to Sissel Anker Olsen (1927–1987), a daughter of Kristofer Anker Olsen and sister of Sossen Krohg. From 1968 to 1976 he was married to Grethe Buck, a daughter of Bertel Otto Steen and Bodil Braathen. After their divorce in 1976, he married Mossad agent Sylvia Rafael (1937–2005) whom he had defended in 1974 for her participation in the Lillehammer affair. He died aged 94 on 4 November 2014. Aker, Norway
Aker was a former independent municipality in Akershus, Norway, that constitutes the vast majority of the territory of the modern city of Oslo. The name originally belonged to a farm which was located near the current Old Aker Church. The church in turn became the source of the name of the parish and later municipality as well as Akershus Fortress, the main fief and main county of Akershus which included most of Eastern Norway until 1919, the smaller county of Akershus, and numerous institutions within this area. The Aker municipality was in terms of population by far the largest municipality of Akershus county. It surrounded the capital city of Christiania (renamed Oslo in 1925) until 1948; Aker was 27 times larger than the capital it surrounded. In the late 19th century Aker ceded some of its territory to Christiania, and in 1948 Aker completely merged with the Oslo municipality to create the modern, vastly enlarged Oslo municipality. Defence Medal 1940–1945
The Defence Medal 1940–1945 () is the award rewarded to those military and civilian personnel who participated in the fight against the German invasion and occupation of Norway between 1940 and 1945. The Defence Medal 1940–1945 can be awarded both to Norwegian and foreign citizens. The medal may still be awarded due to the large number of participants in the defence of Norway during World War II and the difficulties tracking down all eligible recipients. The medal is in bronze. On the obverse is the coat of arms with the inscription . On the reverse is the royal flag, the flag and national flag. Above these a narrow circle with the inscription (Participant in the struggle). The image is surrounded by a chain. The band is in the Norwegian national colors. The band can be fitted with a rosette if the recipient has distinguished himself several times. Braathens ASA, until 1997 Braathens South American & Far East Airtransport A/S and trading as Braathens SAFE, was a Norway, Norwegian airline which operated from 1946 until it merged with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) in 2004 to become SAS Braathens. Knaben Molybdængruber
Knaben is an old mining village in the northern part of Kvinesdal municipality in Agder county, Norway. Currently, the mine is no longer in use, but the area has become a popular ski resort. The village lies at an elevation of above sea level, about north of Liknes and about east of Tonstad in Sirdal municipality. The molybdenum mines were operated here from 1885 to 1973. Constructions and buildings are still mostly standing. The homes where the workers once lived are now hotels. Nature The Knaben uplands (''Knabeheiene'') are mainly located at an elevation of between above sea level.
