Anne Marie Telmányi
Anne Marie Frederikke Telmányi née Nielsen (1893–1983) was a Danish painter and writer. In addition to landscapes and mythological subjects, she is remembered in particular for her portraits of important figures of the times. Her writings include a biography of her mother, Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen, who was also an artist. Her father was the composer Carl Nielsen and her husband was the Hungarian violinist Emil Telmányi. Telmányi began playing the violin at a young age and quickly demonstrated her talent. She went on to study at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and later in Berlin with Carl Flesch. Anne Marie Frederikke Telmányi was an accomplished violinist and teacher who made significant contributions to the classical music world.
