Anne Haskell
Anne M. Haskell (born August 12, 1943) is an American politician from Maine. A Maine Democratic Party, Democrat, Haskell represented part of Portland, Maine, Portland and Westbrook, Maine, Westbrook in the Maine Senate. Haskell was first elected to the Gorham, Maine, Gorham Town Council in 1986. She served on both the Gorham Town Council until 1989. In 1988, Haskell was elected to the Maine House of Representatives to represent a portion of Gorham. She served in the House from Gorham until 1994. In 2006, she was re-elected as a representative, this time from Portland's 117th district. Haskell was re-elected in 2008 and 2010. During the 2010–2012 term in the legislature, Haskell served as the ranking House Democrat on the legislature's Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. Joseph Brannigan
Joseph C. Brannigan (July 16, 1931 – January 17, 2015) was an American social worker and politician from Maine. Brannigan served as a Democratic State Senator from Maine's 10th District, representing part of Portland and Westbrook. Prior to joining the State Senate, he represented part of suburban Portland in District 117 from 2000 to 2006 in the Maine House of Representatives. Education and career Brannigan studied at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service from 1951 to 1955. After graduating, he attended Saint John's Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts, where he later became an ordained priest. He served in South Portland and Fairfield, Maine, while also serving as chaplain at the University of Southern Maine (USM). He then completed a master's degree in counseling education from USM and became a social worker. The ''Bangor Daily News'' is an American newspaper covering a large portion of central and eastern Maine, published six days per week in Bangor, Maine. The ''Bangor Daily News'' was founded on June 18, 1889; it merged with the ''Bangor Whig and Courier'' in 1900. Seth A. Goodall is an American politician and lawyer. Goodall served as a Democratic State Senator from Maine's 19th District, representing part of Sagadahoc County, including the population centers of Bath and Topsham from December 2008 until his resignation on July 9, 2013. In December 2012, Goodall was named the Majority Leader of the Maine Senate. On June 4, 2013, Goodall announced he would resign his seat in the Senate at the end of the 2013 legislative session in order to work for the Small Business Administration as a regional coordinator.
