Anne-Kristiina Haanpää (born 25 May 1959) is a Finnish retired ice hockey forward and referee. International play As a member of the Finnish women's national team, Haanpää participated in four IIHF Women's World Championships – in 1990, 1992, 1994, and 1997 – and helped Finland capture a bronze medal at each tournament. Across 20 world championship games, she scored 8 goals and added 6 assists. In ice hockey, an official is a person who has some responsibility for enforcing the rules and maintaining the order of the game. There are two categories of officials, on-ice officials, who are the referees and linesmen that enforce the rules during gameplay, and off-ice officials, who have an administrative role rather than an enforcement role. On-ice officials As the name implies, on-ice officials do their job on the hockey rink. They are traditionally clad in a black hockey helmet, black trousers, and a black-and-white vertically striped shirt. Finnish Hockey Hall Of Fame
The Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame is housed in and administered by the ('Finnish Ice Hockey Museum'), a part of the Vapriikki Museum Centre, in Tampere, Finland. The mission of the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame is to record, document, and exhibit objects, photographs, and printed materials related to Finnish ice hockey. The original Kanada-malja and the Aurora Borealis Cup are on display along with a number of active-use Liiga awards and hockey memorabilia including sweaters and game-used gear from past seasons. Aurora Borealis Cup
The Aurora Borealis Cup () is the trophy awarded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the victorious team of the Auroraliiga playoffs, the Finnish Champion in women's ice hockey. Project Christopher Shapardanov, Canadian Ambassador to Finland, first conceived of the Aurora Borealis Cup in September 2009, after a visit to the Finnish Ice Hockey Museum () in Tampere and conversation with Jyrki Lumme and Kimmo Leinonen, chairman of the Finnish Ice Hockey Museum Association (). The project was motivated by a desire to honor the quality of play in Auroraliiga and as a symbol of support in the promotion of women's ice hockey. 1982–83 Naisten SM-sarja Season
The 1982–83 Naisten SM-sarja season was the first season of the Naisten SM-sarja, the premier league of women's ice hockey in Finland. The inaugural Finnish Champions in women's ice hockey were Helsingin Jääkiekkoklubi, HJK Helsinki, winners of the 1983 Naisten SM-sarja final tournament. Finnish Championship silver was won by Ilves Naiset, Ilves Tampere and bronze by Etelä-Vantaan Urheilijat, EVU Vantaa. Season format The ten teams were divided into two groups of five, called Lohko A () and Lohko B (). The groups were closed in the regular season and played as Double round robin, double round-robins. Every team played against the other four teams in their group twice for a total of eight games. Two points were awarded for a win and one point for a tie. The Tiia Reima Award or Tiia Reima Trophy () is an ice hockey trophy seasonally awarded by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association to the top goal scorer of the Auroraliiga regular season. It is named after Tiia Reima, one of the trailblazers of women's ice hockey in Finland.
