Anne-Lie Rydé
Anne-Lie Rydé (born 17 October 1956 in Stockholm) is a Swedish pop and rock singer. Early life and Music career Rydé grew up on Lidingö, but moved to Gothenburg in 1976. There she played with the Gothenburg-based band Extra from 1978 to 1983. She moved back to Stockholm in 1983 and broke through as a solo artist that year with the eponymous album "Anne-Lie Rydé." Her first hit was ''"Segla på ett moln"'' (Sail On a Cloud), written by Per Gessle. Anne-Lie Rydé was visually inspired by Punk and Nina Hagen, but musically she played rock. She wrote a number of songs herself. She toured in 1983–84 with Dan Hylander, Py Bäckman and the Raj Montana Band, and in 1985 received a Rockbjörnen and a Karamelodiktstipendiet, a scholarship awarded for innovation in music in Swedish. Lidingö
Lidingö (), also known in its definite form Lidingön and as Lidingölandet, is an island in the inner Stockholm archipelago, northeast of Stockholm, Sweden. It was formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and has been known by its current name since October 2007. Svante Thuresson
Svante Thuresson (7 February 1937 – 10 May 2021) was a Swedish jazz musician. He started his career as a drummer before joining the band Gals and Pals in 1963. Svante won the national selection and represented Sweden in the Eurovision song contest in 1966 with ''Nygammal vals'' ("New, Old-Fashioned Waltz") and came in second place; he performed with Lill Lindfors. In 2007, Thuresson and Anne-Lie Rydé performed at Melodifestivalen 2007 as a duo in hopes of represent Sweden in the Eurovision, but failed to make it to the final. He died from a long-term illness on 10 May 2021, at the age of 84. 2007 was the 47th edition of the Swedish music competition , which was organised by (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 3 February and 10 March 2007. The winner of the competition was the band The Ark with the song " The Worrying Kind", who represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, where they came eighteenth with 51 points. Format The heats for Melodifestivalen 2007 began on 3 February 2007. Ten songs from these heats qualified for the final on 10 March 2007. Second chance round changes On 15 August 2006, SVT announced that the second chance round, which had by then taken place on the Sunday after the last heat, would be turned into a full Saturday night show. 2005 was the 45th edition of the Swedish music competition , which was organised by (SVT) and took place over a five-week period between 12 February and 12 March 2005. The winner of the competition was Martin Stenmarck with the song "Las Vegas", who represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, where he came nineteenth with 30 points. Nanne Grönvall's defeat was met with consternation by many people, who felt that a gap of over 150,000 votes should be enough for victory. There were even calls for SVT to scrap the jury system altogether and simply let the televotes decide the winner.
