Anka Mrak-Taritaš
Anka Mrak-Taritaš (born 24 November 1959) is a Croatian politician and architect who has been member of the Croatian Parliament for the II electoral district since the 2016 parliamentary election, and a member of the Zagreb Assembly since 2017. Between 2012 and 2016, she was Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning in the center-left cabinet of Zoran Milanović. Mrak-Taritaš was the president of the Civic Liberal Alliance party from 9 July 2017 to 21 November 2024. Early life and education Anka Mrak-Taritaš was born on November 24, 1959, in Bjelovar, where she finished elementary and high school. She graduated in 1983 from the Zagreb Faculty of Architecture. In 2002, she took courses in building permits and legislative frameworks in Finland and Germany. In 2006, she passed the training course for teachers on Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment. Civic Liberal Alliance
The Civic Liberal Alliance (, abbr. GLAS – ) is a liberal political party in Croatia. The party was founded by four former Croatian People's Party (HNS) MPs led by Anka Mrak Taritaš who were dissatisfied with HNS entering a coalition with the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and supporting the cabinet of Andrej Plenković since June 2017. Trnje, Zagreb
Trnje () is a district in the City of Zagreb, Croatia. According to the 2011 Croatian census, 2011 census, the district had 42,282 residents. It is located in the central part of the city, south of Donji grad (Zagreb), Donji grad across the railway (Zagreb Main Station), east of Trešnjevka (Savska road), west of Stara Peščenica, Peščenica (Vjekoslav Heinzel Avenue and Marin Držić Avenue), and north of the river Sava. The Slavonska Avenue intersects Trnje. 2017 Zagreb Local Elections
Elections were held in Zagreb on 21 May and 4 June 2017 for the Mayor of Zagreb and members of the Zagreb Assembly. Milan Bandić, the 52nd and incumbent mayor since 2005 (previously also the 50th mayor from 2000 to 2002), ran for a sixth 4-year term. As no candidate won an absolute majority of the vote in the first round, a second round of elections took place on 4 June 2017 between the two highest-placed candidates in terms of popular vote: incumbent mayor Milan Bandić of the Bandić Milan 365 - Labour and Solidarity Party and former Minister of Construction Anka Mrak Taritaš of the Croatian People's Party - Liberal Democrats. Radimir Čačić
Radimir Čačić (; born 11 May 1949) is a Croatian politician and businessman who has been President of the People's Party – Reformists (NS-R) since the party's formation in 2014, as well as Prefect of Varaždin County from 2017 to 2021. Čačić previously served as President of the Croatian People's Party (HNS) between 1995 and 2000. Following the 2000 Croatian parliamentary election, he became part of the first cabinet of Ivica Račan where he notably spearheaded the construction of motorways.
