Hu Prefecture
Huzhou or Hu Prefecture (湖州) was a ''Zhou (country subdivision), zhou'' (prefecture) in history of China, imperial China, centering on modern Huzhou, Zhejiang, China. It existed (intermittently) from 602 until 1912. Between 1225 and 1276 it was known as Anji Prefecture (安吉州). The modern prefecture-level city, created in 1983, retains its name. Geography The administrative region of Hu Prefecture in the Tang dynasty is under the administration of modern Huzhou in northern Zhejiang. Anji Kaneko
was an ex-soldier of the Imperial Japanese Army, and a former detainee of both Siberian Internment by the Soviet Union during 1945–1950 and Fushun War Criminals Management Centre in China during 1950–1956. He was known for his extensive war crimes testimony, including his alleged involvement in the Unit 731. His testimony appeared in the 2001 film '' Japanese Devils'' and the 2007 film '' Iris Chang: The Rape of Nanking'' (although he was not involved in the Nanjing Massacre). He was a member of the Association of Returnees from China. Testimony Kaneko started giving public testimony around 1996, at the age of 76. According to his testimony, he joined the army in 1940, and spread cholera into the water system of Linqing in September 1943. Angi (formerly Angie's List) is an American home services website owned by Angi Inc., a publicly traded subsidiary of IAC. Founded in 1995 by Angie Hicks and William S. Oesterle, it allows users to search for contractors to provide paid home improvement work. The service was originally developed as a database of reviews for local services. Angie's List was a subscription-based service for most of its existence, but shifted to a freemium model in July 2016. In 2017, the company was acquired by IAC and merged with HomeAdvisor. Aji An ''aji'', or ''anji'' was a ruler of a small kingdom in the history of the Ryukyu Islands. The word later became a title and rank of nobility in the Ryukyu Kingdom. It ranked next below a prince among nobility. The sons of princes and the eldest sons of ''aji'' became ''aji.'' An ''aji'' established a noble family equivalent to a shinnōke of Japan. The ''aji'' arose around the twelfth century as local leaders began to build ''gusuku'' (Ryukyuan castles). Shō Hashi was an ''aji'' who later unified Okinawa Island as king. The title ''aji'' variously designated sons of the king and regional leaders. Angie Xtravaganza (October 17, 1964 – March 31, 1993) was a co-founder and Mother of the House of Xtravaganza. A prominent transgender performer in New York City's gay ball culture, Xtravanganza featured in the acclaimed 1990 documentary film '' Paris is Burning''. Early life Xtravaganza was born in New York City, one of 13 children born to a Puerto Rican-American family in the South Bronx. Kallam Anji Reddy
Kallam Anji Reddy (10 August 1941 – 15 March 2013) was an Indian entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical industry, the founder-chairman of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, which he established in 1984, and chairman of Dr Reddy's Foundation (DRF), the corporate social responsibility arm of the group, established 1996.
