Anjali (1990 Film)
''Anjali'' is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language children's drama film written and directed by Mani Ratnam. It stars Raghuvaran and Revathi, with Tarun, Shruti and Shamili in supporting roles. The film deals with the story of a dying mentally disabled child, and the emotional trauma experienced by her family. Mani Ratnam
Gopalaratnam Subramaniam (born 2 June 1956), known professionally as Mani Ratnam, is an Indian film director, film producer and screenwriter who predominantly works in Tamil cinema and a few Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. He has won seven National Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards, six Filmfare Awards South, and numerous awards at various film festivals across the world. In 2002, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, acknowledging his contributions to film. Saranya Ponvannan
Saranya Ponvannan (born Sheela Christina) is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam and a few Kannada language films. She also acted in one Hindi movie '' Chup: Revenge of the Artist'' in 2022. Anand Krishnamoorthi is a National Award winning Indian film sound designer, sound editor and production sound mixer. Early life Anand first appeared in Mani Ratnam's film Anjali and later made appearances in several other films, notably May Madham, Sathi Leelavathi, Aasai, Thalapathi and several Tamil TV Serials till 1995. Education Anand obtained a BSc in Visual Communication from the Loyola College, Chennai and a MSc in Electronic Media from the Anna University, Chennai. Anand is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films along with a few Kannada films. He has also acted in several Malayalam TV shows. Ananthakrishnan, better known as Ananthu, was an Indian screenwriter working on Tamil language films, often collaborating with K. Balachander. He was the mentor of actor Kamal Haasan.
