Anja Spasojević (Serbian Cyrillic alphabet, Cyrillic: Ања Спасојевић; born 4 July 1983) is a retired Serbian professional volleyball player who was last played as wing spiker for VC Dynamo Krasnodar, Dinamo Krasnodar in Russia. She began her professional career in OK Crvena zvezda, Red Star Belgrade, and then played in Asystel Volley, Asystel Novara, Voléro Zürich, Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball, Fenerbahçe Acıbadem, VC Universitet-Tekhnolog Belgorod, Universitet Belgorod, RC Cannes, Universal Volley Modena, Ufimochka Ufa and then was ended her career in VC Dynamo Krasnodar, Dinamo Krasnodar. Serbian Cyrillic Alphabet
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet (, ), also known as the Serbian script, (, ), is a standardized variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language. It originated in medieval Serbia and was significantly reformed in the 19th century by the Serbian philologist and linguist Vuk Karadžić. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet is one of the two official scripts used to write modern standard Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his reform on the earlier 18th-century Slavonic-Serbian script. Zoran Terzić
Zoran Terzić ( sr-Cyrl, Зоран Терзић, born 9 July 1966) is a Serbian volleyball coach. He was the coach of the Serbia women's national volleyball team between 2002 and 2022, and under his leadership the team won 20 European, World and Olympic medals. In 2024, Terzić was again named head coach of the Serbia women's national team. On club level he coaches WVC Dynamo Kazan. As a player, Terzić passed through all selections of the Red Star club in Belgrade between 1979 and 1986. He stopped playing in order to pursue his studies. He graduated at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in 1998. His first experience as a coach was as an assistant to Drago Nešić, head coach of the "IMT" Volleyball Club in Belgrade. 2006 FIVB Women's World Championship
The 2006 FIVB Women's World Championship was the fifteenth edition of the competition, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held from 31 October to 16 November 2006 in Japan. The finals involved 24 teams, of which 22 came through qualifying competitions, while the host nation and reign champion qualified automatically. Of the 32 teams, 16 had also appeared in the previous tournament in 2002, while Cameroon, Costa Rica, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Serbia and Montenegro made their first appearances at a FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship. Serbia Women's National Volleyball Team
The Serbia women's national volleyball team is governed by the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and takes part in international volleyball competitions. FIVB considers Serbia the inheritor of the records of SFR Yugoslavia (1948–1992) and Serbia and Montenegro (1992–2006).
